WHAT: Fall Market and Bake Sale featuring Scarecrows in the Garden!
The Northern Plains Botanic Garden Society will be hosting their first annual Scarecrows in the Garden fundraising event on Saturday, September 18th, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., at the Northern Plains Botanic Garden and Greenhouse (1211 28th Ave N, Fargo). Funds raised will be used to support and grow the Northern Plains Botanic Garden.
Unique Scarecrows crafted by donors will be for sale and on display in the botanic garden. A Fall Market will feature autumn and Christmas theme crafted wares, exterior fall décor, botanical items, houseplants, herbs, jams, preserves, and baked goods.
There will be Kids Craft Activities, including rock painting, coloring, and pumpkin painting. Pumpkins will be for sale. Families are invited to explore the Children’s Garden and take family portraits using the sunflower face boards.
Heart and Soul Community Café will be selling lunch items between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The menu includes:
Fall Harvest Bowl - Spring greens, lemon-infused rice, roasted seasonal vegetables, basil dressing, and roasted pepitas
Brats - served with caramelized onions and house-made relish, chips, and a pasta salad
Hot Dogs - served with chips and a pasta salad
Iced Tea, Lemonade, and Bottled Water.
Crafters, Bakers, and Artisans: Please consider making and donating items!
Scarecrows will be displayed with their creators name/company/organization. Bring Scarecrows to the garden on Friday September 17th from 10 AM to 7 PM. Scarecrows will be for sale during the event on Saturday. RSVP your scarecrow by September 1st.

∙ Jellies, Jams, Pickles, Fruit Preserves
Drop off of Food Items is requested on Friday, September 17th, between 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. at the NPBGS Greenhouse -or- Saturday, September 18th, before the 10 a.m. event start time.
